Erwartungen- Vorurteile / Expectations - prejudice

Es nähert sich immer schneller der Tag der Abreise. Es sind nun kaum noch mehr als 6 Woche und ich werde in Indonesien sein.

Zur Zeit kann ich es irgendwie noch gar nicht richtig realisieren bzw glauben meinen Lebensraum um 12.000km zu verschieben.

Ja was habe ich an Erwartung an Indonesien, was sind meine Vorurteile und was meine Wünsche.

Als ich die zusage für das Auslandssemester bekommen habe habe ich erstmals nur Bilder von perfekten Stränden und Palmen im Kopf gehabt. Wie geil, ein schöner Urlaub und ein bisschen nebenbei Studieren.

Naja man ist ja nicht dumm und sucht im Internet nach weiteren Informationen über den Ort des geschehens, Land und Leute, Essen und Kultur, Industrie und möglichen Zukunftsvariationen des Landes.

Nach meinem durchsuchen des Internets traf ich auf viele Informationen über das Land und die Leute.

Dem ersten anschein nach besteht Indonesien nicht nur aus Stränden und Palmen sondern auch aus Armut, Industrie und vielen Vorurteilen.

Im Anhang findet ihr einige kleine Stichpunkt die ich beim Suchen im Internet gefunden habe und meine eigenen Interessen wiederspiegeln und auch evtl. Vorurteile geschnürt haben.

Die Vorurteile ergaben sich aus vielen Berichten sowie Blogs die ich gelesen habe und fleißig am Verfolgen bin. Natürlich lasse ich mich gerne von den Vorurteilen abbringen aber dies ist meine aktuelle Einschätung der Lage was mich dort erwarten könnte.

Erwartungen / Wünsche  privater Natur:
- In eine Fremde Kultur eintauchen und diese hautnah erleben
- Warme Tage und Nächte
- Fremdes leckeres Essen
- Neue und Nette Leute kennenlernen
- Paradiesische Strände
- günstige Lebenshaltungskosten

Erwartungen an das Studium:
- neue Blickwinkel für Logistik im Asiatischen bereich kennenlernen
- Charakterzüge anderer Nationen für die persönliche Entwicklung kennenlernen
- Sichtweisen für das Gesamtglobale Logistikwesen erweitern
- andere Unterrichtsmethoden kennenlernen und auch evtl. Gegebenheiten (Lehrmaterial etc)


evtl. Vorurteile meinerseits:
- Westler werden oft Belagert und als "Bule" oder "Mister" als eine Art Statussymbol gehandelt
- Frauen sind relativ "untergeordnet"
- sehr viel Müll an den Straßen
- chaotisch und unorganisiert
- Korruption regiert das Land
- sehr viel Armut

The day of departure is coming closer. There are now little more than six weeks and I will be in Indonesia.At the moment I can not even believe it somehow or implement properly that i am going to move more than 12.000km.What are my expectations about Indonesia, what are my prejudices and what my desiresWhen I got the commitment for the semester abroad I first had only images of perfect beaches and palm trees in my head. How cool, a nice holiday and besides a bit of studying.Of course i was  looking online for further information about the location of the event, country and people, food and culture, industry and possible future variations of the country. Indonesia is not just beaches and palm trees but also ruled by poverty, industry and prejudices
.Attached you will find some small puncture points that I found and reflect my own interests and prejudices.The prejudice results from many reports and blogs that I've read . Of course, I like to let myself be dissuaded from the prejudices but this is my current situation of what might await me there.

Expectations / desires of private nature:
 - get to know an other culture
 - Warm days and nights
 - Foreign delicious food
 - to meet new and nice people
 - Idyllic beaches
 - cheap costs of living 

Expectations for the course:
- get to know new perspectives for logistics in the Asian region  
- getting to know characteristics of other nations for personal development
- other point of view for perspectives for the entire global logistics system
- Meet other teaching methods and (teaching materials etc) and possibly circumstances 

Prejudices:
- Westerners are often besieged and as "Bule" or "Mister" acted as a kind of status symbol
- Women are relatively "subordinate" 
- A lot of garbage on the streets 
- Chaotic and disorganized 
- Corruption rules the country
- A lot of poverty
